Notables featured in this brochure include manufacturing magnates Samuel and Elizabeth Colt, Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles, actress Katharine Hepburn, discoverer of anesthesia Dr. Horace Wells, and financier J.P. Morgan.
A Guide to the Notable Trees introduces visitors to Cedar Hill’s most rare and notable trees. Like the Guide for Visitors, the Notable Trees brochure includes tree descriptions and a map for visitors to walk amongst the grounds and discover them themselves.

Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation also offers Guide by Cell, a self-guided tour option where you can use your cell phone to learn about Cedar Hill’s most notable residents. The Foundation’s Guide by Cell brochure includes a map identifying the final resting places of some of Cedar Hill’s most notable residents and instructions for calling into the Guide by Cell system.
Self-guided tour brochures are available in the information box located inside Cedar Hill Cemetery’s entryway gates and in the Main Office located in the Northam Memorial Chapel, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. The Cemetery grounds are open daily from 7:00 am until dusk.
