Connecticut Votes for Women – Connecticut State Library, State Archives, Connecticut Woman’s Suffrage Association

On June 4, 1919, U. S. Congress passed the 19th Amendment. After thirty-six states ratified the Amendment, women were granted the right to vote on August 18, 1920.

Cedar Hill celebrates the centennial of the 19th Amendment by highlighting eighteen extraordinary women laid to rest in our historic cemetery.
