Nicholas Hudson Holt (1933 – 1979)
Nicholas Hudson Holt was a Hartford native who made his way to Los Angeles to be an actor. He made his debut in Invasion from Inner Earth as Jake in 1974 followed by several guest appearances in various television shows, including Battlestar Galactica as Charka as well as in Barnaby Jones, Starsky and Hutch, and Barney Miller. His acting career ended in 1979 when he died from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles.
Interestingly, according to “celebrity” websites, Nicholas Hudson Holt was born on August 11, 1949, however, according to Cedar Hill Cemetery’s records he was born April 9, 1933. There is speculation that Holt fibbed about his age in an effort to assist with his acting career.
